Many food pantries are experiencing increased demand for dairy foods due to school summer vacation and business closures during the pandemic. Working in partnership with Midwest Dary, we applied for a grant to meet additional refrigeration needs for our local food shelf, Hastings Family Service. The industrial grade refrigeration unit was provided through a Community Relief Grant set-up by Midwest Dairy which represents 6,500 dairy farm families throughout the Midwest region.

Bremer Farms was thrilled to find out that our grant request was accepted and Hastings Family Service was receiving a commercial grade refrigerator. It was delivered shortly after their current refrigerator quit working!
This is an example of what a family of four would receive per month. Hastings Family Service provides services to about 7,500 people per year!
We care about the health and well-being of our community. We have been active life-long members of Hastings for many generations. Like many of you, we are small business owners. We love the contributions Hastings Family Service makes to our community and we are proud to play a small part in their success.
